Yana launches free support groups for women affected by violence

Yana, a new association founded in Monaco by psychologist Suzanne Chrimes, has begun running anonymous group therapy sessions for women who have experienced violence. The sessions are free of charge and open to any woman seeking support in a confidential setting, with the association's name carrying a clear message to those it hopes to reach: "you are not alone".
The initiative addresses a gap in structured peer support within the Principality. While Monaco has established legal and social frameworks around domestic violence, Yana's group format focuses on rebuilding confidence and fostering solidarity among participants, rather than individual clinical treatment alone. Chrimes, who is based in Monaco, leads the sessions herself.
