Société des Bains de Mer
SBM properties in Monaco
Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) is the cornerstone of Monaco's luxury economy, operating the four palace hotels, the Casino de Monte-Carlo, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo (Salle Garnier), the Thermes Marins spa complex, the Sporting Monte-Carlo and many of the Principality's most celebrated restaurants. Founded in 1863, SBM was the original developer of Monte-Carlo under the Grimaldi family's patronage.
The SBM hotel portfolio spans the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo on Place du Casino, the Belle Époque Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort on the Larvotto seafront, and Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel at Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. Within the hotels, SBM operates Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse (three Michelin stars), Le Grill and Pavyllon Monte-Carlo (one star each), plus the Bar Américain, Crystal Bar, Buddha Bar, Café de Paris, La Trattoria and numerous other dining venues.
