Six newly accredited ambassadors, including envoys from Canada, South Korea and Thailand, met Monaco's Minister of Foreign Affairs this week.
Six ambassadors have presented their credentials to Monaco this week, formally taking up their posts to the Principality. The new envoys represent Canada, the Republic of Korea, Burundi, El Salvador, Thailand and Lebanon, with Nathalie Drouin, Kwon Hyuk-woon, Spès-Caritas Njebarikanuye, Tania Camila Rosa, Nikorndej Balankura and Rabih Chaer each taking up their respective ambassadorial roles.
The accreditation ceremonies took place with Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, who received the diplomats individually. Honorary consuls were also present at the exchanges, reflecting the network of consular representation that supports Monaco's bilateral relations with these nations.
For a Principality of fewer than 40,000 residents, this volume of diplomatic activity in a single week is notable. It underscores Monaco's continued standing as a recognised sovereign state with an expanding web of formal relationships, relevant to the many international residents and businesses here who rely on these channels for consular support and bilateral cooperation.
