Monaco ratifies ECAC Bureau Convention in Paris

Monaco has become the fifth state to ratify the treaty granting legal personality to the European Civil Aviation Conference Bureau, headquartered in Paris.
Ambassador Valérie Bruell-Melchior signed on behalf of the Princely Government before delivering the instrument of ratification to France's Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, which acts as depositary for the Convention. The ECAC Bureau's seat is in Paris, making France the natural custodian of the treaty.
By ratifying, Monaco becomes the fifth state to formally back the agreement, which confers legal personality on the ECAC Secretariat. That status allows the Bureau to enter into contracts, hold assets and operate with greater institutional independence, strengthening civil aviation governance across the continent. For the Principality, the move affirms its commitment to multilateral aviation frameworks despite having no commercial airport of its own.
