Monaco joins 90 nations at inaugural Paris space summit

Prince Albert II was represented at the first international space summit in Paris, held at the Grand Palais on 10 September 2026.
The Grand Palais in Paris hosted the inaugural International Space Summit on 10 September, bringing together delegations from more than 90 states to align on priorities for space exploration and use. Monaco took part at ambassadorial level, with H.E. Valérie Bruell-Melchior, Monaco's Ambassador to France, representing the Sovereign Prince alongside colleagues from the Embassy and the Department of External Relations and Cooperation.
The summit comes at a moment of significant geopolitical shifts in global space governance, with participating nations seeking closer coordination between state and institutional actors in the sector. For Monaco, whose diplomatic reach consistently punches above its size, attendance at a founding summit of this nature signals continued engagement with multilateral frameworks shaping long-term space policy.
