Works to resurface the chapel forecourt at Monaco's municipal cemetery will leave several vaults in the Chèvrefeuille section inaccessible until 10 August.
The Mairie de Monaco has begun resurfacing work on the chapel forecourt at the Cimetière de Monaco, where the existing surface had deteriorated to the point of requiring full replacement. The works are scheduled to run from 3 to 10 August 2026.
During this period, a number of vaults and burial niches in the Chèvrefeuille section of the cemetery will remain inaccessible. Families with relatives interred in that part of the grounds are advised to plan visits accordingly and contact the Mairie for specific guidance on access arrangements.
