Musical theatre joins Monaco's Pass'Sport Culture for first time

The Mairie de Monaco has added musical theatre to its Pass'Sport Culture programme this summer, with young residents taking up singing, dance and performance through the association Fantasia Méditerranée Monaco.
For the first time this summer, the Mairie de Monaco's Pass'Sport Culture programme includes musical theatre, giving young Monégasques access to a discipline that combines singing, dance, drama and physical expression in a single activity. The addition reflects a broadening of what the long-running municipal scheme considers sport and culture worth subsidising.
The sessions are run by Fantasia Méditerranée Monaco, the local association leading the initiative. Participants have responded well to the format, with the relaxed environment allowing young people to experiment across art forms without pressure. The association has indicated it already has ambitions to develop the programme further beyond this introductory summer edition.
Pass'Sport Culture, administered by the Mairie, is designed to make arts and sporting activities accessible to Monaco residents during the summer months. The inclusion of musical theatre signals a willingness to expand the programme's creative scope, and families with children enrolled this summer will be watching to see whether the activity returns in 2027 with a longer or more structured run.
