Minister of State delivers Monaco's address at UN Assembly

Speaking on behalf of Prince Albert II, Minister of State Mirmand addressed the UN General Assembly on 25 September, calling for stronger multilateral cooperation.
Minister of State Mirmand delivered the Principality's address to the general debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly on 25 September, speaking on behalf of Prince Albert II. The intervention placed the defence of international law and multilateralism at its centre, with Mirmand reminding delegates that the sovereign equality of states grants each of them, regardless of size, the same rights but also the same responsibilities.
Mirmand also called for restoring confidence in the multilateral system by adapting it to current challenges. For a state such as Monaco, whose voice on the international stage rests on diplomatic weight rather than scale, this annual appearance at the UN rostrum remains one of the clearest markers of the Principality's standing among the community of nations.
