Grimaldi Forum alerts contacts after IT security breach

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The Grimaldi Forum Monaco detected unauthorised access to its IT systems on 29 September and is urging contacts to remain vigilant for possible fraud attempts.

The Grimaldi Forum on Avenue Princesse Grace has confirmed that unauthorised access to its IT infrastructure was detected on Tuesday 29 September, prompting immediate containment measures. In a security notice sent to partners and contacts, the venue said it acted quickly once the intrusion was identified, though it has not disclosed the scale of data potentially affected.

For the exhibitors, event organisers and corporate clients who regularly deal with the Forum, the notice is a reminder to check recent correspondence carefully and watch for phishing attempts or unusual requests referencing the venue. Anyone who has shared banking details or personal information with the Forum in recent weeks is being advised to monitor accounts for suspicious activity.

The Grimaldi Forum is one of Monaco's busiest conference and exhibition venues, hosting everything from the Monaco Yacht Show support events to major corporate gatherings, so a breach of its systems carries knock-on risk for a wide network of businesses across the Principality.
