Satirical blog names contributors after ex-Palace aide held

The anonymous website Cactus de Monaco has revealed several of its contributors after Monegasque police held one of them, former Palace communications consultant Yves Romestan, in custody last week.
The satirical blog Cactus de Monaco has lifted the veil on part of its anonymous team, announcing that it was 'time to say who is behind' the site after Monegasque justice had already identified one contributor through a police investigation.
Among those named is Yves Romestan, who briefly served as a communications consultant to the Prince's Palace before his link to the blog became public. He was taken into police custody last Friday, a step that appears to have prompted the wider disclosure from the site's other writers.
Cactus de Monaco has for years published anonymous commentary on Monegasque politics, business and Palace affairs, often sharp enough to draw legal attention. This latest episode, with a former Palace insider among those unmasked, raises fresh questions about how closely satire and officialdom intersect in the Principality, and about what role, if any, Romestan's Palace connections played in the blog's content.
