Young artists reimagine Monaco at Moretti Fine Art

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

A new exhibition at Moretti Fine Art showcases artwork by young people from the Monaco Disease Power association, offering a fresh view of the Principality.

Moretti Fine Art has opened its doors to a different kind of Monaco portrait. The exhibition, titled Look Elsewhere, brings together paintings and drawings created by young people linked to the Monaco Disease Power association, each piece offering a personal and colourful take on the streets, light and life of the Principality.

The show was inaugurated in the presence of a member of the Princely Family, a gesture that underlines the standing this kind of charitable and creative initiative holds in Monaco. Rather than the polished postcard views visitors usually associate with the Rock or the harbour, the works on display lean into individuality, texture and a more instinctive reading of place.

For residents, the exhibition is a reminder that Monaco's cultural calendar extends well beyond its galas and auctions. Supporting young artists through an association focused on inclusion gives the Principality's art scene a more human dimension, one worth a visit for anyone who wants to see familiar corners of Monaco through unfamiliar eyes.
