Production teams for the hit series The White Lotus filmed scenes on Place du Casino and avenue de Monte-Carlo this week, wrapping up on Wednesday.
Camera crews and cast members working under director Mike White have spent recent days filming in the heart of Monte-Carlo, with Tuesday's shoot centred on Place du Casino and the length of avenue de Monte-Carlo. The production, tied to the acclaimed HBO series The White Lotus, is scheduled to wrap its Monaco leg on Wednesday.
Residents and visitors passing through the Casino Square area this week will have noticed the usual signs of a major shoot: temporary barriers, equipment trucks and crew members directing pedestrian flow around the square's fountains and the entrance to the Casino de Monte-Carlo. Filming in such a tightly controlled public space typically requires coordination with Monaco's municipal authorities and the Société des Bains de Mer, given the location's status as one of the Principality's most photographed and closely managed sites.
For those living or working near the square, the disruption has been brief but visible, with foot traffic diverted at points along avenue de Monte-Carlo during filming windows. The choice of Monaco as a backdrop, alongside the show's established use of luxury resort settings, is likely to bring further international attention to the area once the relevant episodes air.
