Villa Paloma hosts open-air cinema night on 6 August

The Nouveau Musée National de Monaco opens late on Thursday for a Victor Brauner exhibition visit followed by a rooftop screening of Memoria.
On Thursday 6 August, the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco at Villa Paloma will stay open until 21:00, giving visitors an extended window to explore the current exhibition dedicated to Surrealist artist Victor Brauner before the evening's main event gets under way.
The terrace of the Saint-Roman hillside museum will then serve as the setting for a screening of Memoria, the 2021 film by Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, whose meditative pacing and preoccupation with memory and sound make it a natural fit for an open-air setting above the Principality.
For Monaco residents and those spending the summer in the Principality, it is a rare chance to combine two cultural experiences in a single evening at one of the NMNM's most atmospheric venues. The Villa Paloma site, perched above the Moyenne Corniche, offers views that few indoor cinemas can rival.
