Top Marques brings strict road rules to Monaco streets

Authorities are enforcing a five-day impoundment policy for dangerous driving during the Top Marques show from 6 to 10 May.
With Top Marques running from 6 to 10 May, the Princely Government has made clear that the influx of high-performance vehicles will not translate into dangerous behaviour on public roads. The standard impoundment period for vehicles used recklessly in the Principality has been extended to five days for the duration of the event, giving the Sûreté Publique a sharper deterrent against the kind of aggressive driving that has historically accompanied the show.
The Sûreté Publique will increase patrols and checkpoints across the Principality throughout the week. Officers will be particularly focused on the routes and public spaces where exotic cars tend to congregate during Top Marques, when street-level excitement around the vehicles on display can occasionally spill into unsafe conduct.
Alongside enforcement, there has been a prevention effort. Automotive influencer GMK has worked with authorities to communicate the message to his audience before the event begins, an approach aimed at reaching car enthusiasts through channels they already follow rather than relying solely on roadside signage.
