The blue carpet at the Grimaldi Forum drew television stars from across Europe on Friday 12 June for the opening ceremony of the 65th Monte-Carlo TV Festival.

The Grimaldi Forum rolled out its blue carpet on Friday evening as the 65th Monte-Carlo Television Festival got under way, drawing a strong contingent of European screen talent for the opening ceremony. Among those attending were French television veteran Michel Drucker, Spanish actress Ester Expósito and Franco-Israeli singer Amir.

The Monte-Carlo TV Festival is one of the longest-running television events on the international calendar, held annually in the Principality under the patronage of the Sovereign Prince. The Grimaldi Forum, which hosts the main ceremonies and screenings, sits on the seafront at the eastern edge of the Larvotto district. The festival runs across several days, with awards handed out to productions and performers across drama, comedy and news categories.
