Monaco's Rokethon returns to Fontvieille on 27 September for its third annual event, raising awareness of pet abandonment across France and beyond.
The Chapiteau de Fontvieille hosts the Rokethon this Sunday, 27 September, marking the third annual edition of the solidarity walk organised in partnership with SPA Monaco. The event invites residents to walk or run alongside their pets in a stand against animal abandonment, with Princess Charlène expected to attend as a long-standing supporter of the cause.
This year's Rokethon carries a particular focus on the alarming rise in pet abandonment across France and internationally. The walk has become an established fixture on Monaco's weekend calendar, drawing residents and their pets through Fontvieille in support of the SPA's work rehoming abandoned and mistreated animals.
The day typically combines the solidarity walk with stalls, demonstrations and appeals for adoption. Organisers are expecting a similar format this year, with road access around the Chapiteau likely to be affected during the event.
