Red Cross Monaco calls for clothing donations ahead of sale

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Monaco's Red Cross is holding its first clothing collection day on 3 October ahead of its annual charity sale on 17 October.

The Croix-Rouge monégasque is asking residents to sort through their wardrobes before its annual braderie, which returns on 17 October 2026. For the first time, the association is organising a dedicated collection day on Saturday 3 October at its premises, giving people a chance to drop off clothing in good condition ahead of the sale.

The braderie has long been a fixture for bargain hunters and those looking to support the charity's humanitarian work in the Principality, with proceeds going directly towards its local assistance programmes. By moving the collection forward to early October, organisers hope to build up stock and streamline sorting before the doors open to the public later in the month.

Anyone with unwanted clothing, particularly items still in wearable condition, is encouraged to bring donations to the Red Cross premises on the day. Details on exact times and location are expected to be confirmed closer to 3 October through the association's usual channels.
