Princess Grace honoured with Smithsonian garden tribute

A swan bench dedicated to Princess Grace has been unveiled at the Kathrine Dulin Folger Rose Garden on Washington's National Mall, attended by around 60 guests.
Around 60 guests gathered at the Smithsonian's Kathrine Dulin Folger Rose Garden on the National Mall in Washington for the dedication of a swan bench honouring Princess Grace, marking a permanent tribute to the Monaco royal's enduring ties with the United States.
Born Grace Kelly in Philadelphia, the Princess remains one of the most celebrated figures in Monaco's modern history, and the tribute reflects the lasting cultural bond between the Principality and America. The Folger Rose Garden setting, one of Washington's more quietly distinguished green spaces, gives the memorial a fitting sense of permanence.
For Monaco residents and those with connections to the Principality, the dedication is a reminder that Princess Grace's legacy continues to be recognised internationally, more than four decades after her death in 1982.
