Lycée Albert-Ier reopens after year-long energy overhaul

A major renovation programme at Monaco's Lycée Albert-Ier has modernised the school's energy systems ahead of the new academic year.
Lycée Albert-Ier has completed a year-long renovation programme just in time for the start of the 2026 autumn term, with works focused on overhauling the building's energy supply and improving day-to-day conditions for staff and pupils alike.
The project centred on making the school's energy infrastructure more efficient and sustainable, part of a broader effort across Monaco's public estate to reduce consumption and carbon output. New equipment installed during the works is expected to improve the building's overall performance and comfort levels throughout the school year.
The lycée, which sits in the heart of the Principality, serves a significant share of Monaco's secondary school population. After twelve months of disruption during construction, the school is now ready to welcome students back for the new term.
