Official Monaco websites taken offline after security alert

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Sites run by the Prince's Palace, the Government and City Hall went offline on Wednesday after a global cybersecurity warning over critical vulnerabilities.

Several of the Principality's official websites went dark on Wednesday after an international cybersecurity alert flagged critical vulnerabilities capable of exposing sites and their users to serious attacks. The Prince's Palace, the Prince's Government, Monaco City Hall and the Monegasque Digital Security Agency, AMSN, were among those affected, with pages becoming temporarily inaccessible as a precaution.

For residents who rely on these portals for administrative paperwork, permits or official announcements, the outage is a reminder of how much daily life in Monaco now runs through government websites. AMSN, the very body tasked with protecting the Principality's digital infrastructure, finding its own site caught up in the disruption underlines how widespread the underlying vulnerability appears to be.

No details have yet been given on when full service will resume or whether any data was compromised during the window the sites were down. Anyone with pending applications or deadlines tied to these platforms would do well to check directly with the relevant office rather than assume the usual online channels are working.
