By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The Corps des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Monaco has welcomed nine new firefighters in a formal helmet presentation ceremony held under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel Maxime Yvrard.

Nine new recruits have been formally welcomed into the Corps des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Monaco in a traditional helmet presentation ceremony, one of the fire brigade's most significant rites of passage. The event was presided over by Lieutenant-Colonel Maxime Yvrard, Chef de Corps, and attended by Lionel Beffre, Conseiller de Gouvernement and Minister of the Interior, as well as Colonel Tony Varo, Commandant Supérieur de la Force Publique.

Also present were Lieutenant-Colonel Martial Pied, Chef de Corps of the Carabiniers du Prince, and Abbé Dominique Arz, who performed the traditional blessing of the helmets. The ceremony marks the formal induction of the recruits, who joined the corps in 2026 and form a named promotion in keeping with the brigade's long-standing tradition of honouring each cohort.
