By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The latest intake of the Carabiniers du Prince completed their formal induction on 26 May 2026, receiving blessed insignia and swearing allegiance to the Sovereign.

A formal presentation ceremony marked the graduation of the newest recruits into the Carabiniers du Prince on 26 May 2026, with the cohort designated the « Jules Rigoard » promotion. Lieutenant-Colonel Martial Pied, Chef de Corps, opened proceedings with a troop inspection before the company's Fanion was presented to the young soldiers.

The ceremony's sponsor then presented each recruit with their insignia, blessed by Abbé Christian Venard, Chaplain of the Force Publique. The occasion closed with the Monegasque national anthem performed by the Orchestre des Carabiniers du Prince, with all serving military personnel joining in.

The recruits had already taken their oath of allegiance to H.S.H. Prince Albert II and his family on 4 May 2026, making the insignia ceremony the final step in their official entry into Monaco's principal military body. The Carabiniers du Prince serve as the Principality's standing armed force and form a central part of public ceremony life in Monaco.
