The Monte-Carlo Television Festival returned on Friday night for its 65th edition, with honours awarded to Kristin Scott Thomas, Michel Drucker and Ester Exposito.
Friday night's opening ceremony of the 65th Monte-Carlo Television Festival drew a glittering crowd to the Principality, with awards presented to three figures representing very different eras of the medium. French television institution Michel Drucker, British actress Kristin Scott Thomas and Spanish star Ester Exposito were among those honoured, underscoring the festival's continued pull as a serious industry event rather than a purely ceremonial affair.
Now in its seventh decade, the festival remains one of the few television gatherings in Europe that regularly draws both industry heavyweights and on-screen talent in the same room. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was also among the notable arrivals for the opening, adding further transatlantic profile to an already high-wattage evening in Monaco.
