Monapass adds Apple Pay and Google Pay for residents

The Monapass app now accepts mobile payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay, extending its reach across transport, parking and cultural ticketing in the Principality.
Five years after its 2021 launch, Monapass has added Apple Pay and Google Pay as payment options, giving residents and visitors a faster way to buy what they need without entering card details manually. The update covers the full range of services the app now handles: bus and MonoBike passes with the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco, hourly parking tickets, cinema seats and event tickets including summer exhibitions at the Grimaldi Forum.
The expansion reflects how far Monapass has travelled from its original focus on mobility. What began as a straightforward transit app has become the closest thing Monaco has to a single digital wallet for daily urban life. For residents who already rely on it for commuting and parking, the addition of tap-to-pay removes the last significant friction point in the checkout process.
