Monaco Youth Commission sets out proposals at eighth session

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The Consultative Commission for Young People met for its eighth session, producing recommendations on school guidance, sports access and student representation.

The Consultative Commission for Young People held its eighth formal session on Monday, with members putting forward a series of recommendations aimed at improving support for young residents across the Principality.

Proposals covered school and career guidance, greater recognition of voluntary and associative engagement, how student representation bodies function, and broader access to sporting activities. The commission also called for better information channels to help young people navigate the programmes and opportunities available to them in Monaco.

The session reflects the government's ongoing commitment to structured youth consultation, with the commission serving as a formal mechanism through which younger residents can shape policy. The recommendations will now be considered by the relevant government departments.
