Leisure anglers must now register online via MonGuichet.mc

A mandatory registration scheme for shore-based recreational fishing in Monaco is now handled through the government's MonGuichet.mc portal, with declarations valid for three years.
Residents and visitors who fish from Monaco's shoreline for recreational purposes are now required to register through MonGuichet.mc, the Principality's official online public-services platform. The obligation, introduced in 2025, applies to adults and children alike, and each declaration remains valid for three years before renewal is needed.
The scheme gives the government a working register of anglers active along Monaco's coastline, allowing the administration to contact them directly if regulations change or if specific safety or environmental notices need to be issued. For anyone already fishing from the rocks or quaysides without a registration, the message is straightforward: the process is online and the paperwork is minimal.
The move fits a broader pattern of Monaco digitising routine administrative procedures through MonGuichet.mc, reducing the need for in-person visits to government offices. Anyone unsure whether the requirement applies to them should check the portal directly, where the declaration form and full eligibility details are available.
