Monaco welcomes 30 German companies on trade mission

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Around thirty German companies visited Monaco this week on a trade mission marking 75 years of diplomatic relations.

A delegation of some thirty German companies arrived in Monaco this week for an economic prospecting mission, organised jointly with the Chamber of Commerce of Monaco, the body formerly known as the Monaco Economic Board. The visit builds on an initial meeting held in Berlin in 2024 between representatives of the two chambers, and forms part of the programme marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and the Principality, celebrated throughout this year.

The German delegation was received by Ambassador Lorenzo Ravano, Monaco's envoy to Germany, alongside Guillaume Rose of the Chamber of Commerce of Monaco. The mission reflects a continued push to deepen commercial ties between the two countries, with German firms assessing opportunities across sectors represented in the Principality's business community.

For Monaco's business and property circles, missions of this kind matter less for their ceremony than for what follows: German investors and companies have historically shown interest in the Principality's financial services, real estate and luxury sectors. A sustained relationship dating back 75 years, formalised through this kind of institutional exchange, tends to translate into longer term commercial interest rather than one-off visits.
