Monaco turns pink on 3 October for breast cancer awareness

Pink Ribbon will illuminate landmarks across the Principality in pink this Saturday to mark breast cancer awareness month.

Pink Ribbon Monaco returns this Saturday, 3 October, with its annual campaign to light up the Principality in pink, marking the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The association has become a fixture of Monaco's autumn calendar, using the illumination to draw attention to screening, prevention and support for women affected by breast and gynaecological cancers.

The campaign extends beyond symbolism. Pink Ribbon works alongside Monaco's medical community to encourage early detection, a message that carries particular weight given the Principality's ageing resident population and its concentration of private clinics and specialists along Boulevard de Suisse and around the Princess Grace Hospital.

Residents walking through Monaco this weekend can expect to see familiar buildings and public spaces bathed in pink light, a visual reminder that runs alongside the association's ongoing outreach work. For a community as compact as Monaco's, the campaign has historically succeeded in keeping screening and prevention visible well beyond the month of October itself.
