AS Monaco led by two goals before conceding twice late on to draw 2-2 with Toulouse, though they remain top of Ligue 1.
AS Monaco let slip a two-goal advantage on Saturday night, drawing 2-2 with Toulouse in a result that leaves manager Filipe Luis searching for answers despite his side staying top of the table. Having looked comfortable for long periods, the Monegasques lost their grip in the second half as Toulouse fought back to snatch a point.
Striker Matthis Abline, who was involved in Monaco's early dominance, admitted after the final whistle that conceding ground so quickly after the break was hard to explain. Luis echoed that frustration, pointing to a lapse in concentration as the key factor behind the collapse rather than any tactical failing.
The draw does little to dent Monaco's position at the summit of Ligue 1, but it raises questions about game management as the title race intensifies. For supporters who have watched the club build a reputation for resilience this season, the inability to see out a two-goal lead against a mid-table side will be seen as a worrying sign heading into a congested autumn fixture list.
