A partnership agreement signed at Monaco's Washington embassy commits the Principality to America250, marking 250 years of US independence.
At a reception held on 28th April at Monaco's embassy in Washington, Ambassador Maguy Maccario Doyle formalised the Principality's participation in America250, the bipartisan initiative organising celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States. The signing took place alongside Rosie Rios and brought together prominent figures from both sides of the relationship.
The commitment reflects the depth of Monaco's long-standing ties with the United States, which stretch back well beyond the modern era of transatlantic diplomacy. For a Principality that punches well above its size in international affairs, aligning formally with a milestone of this scale carries genuine symbolic weight.
More detail on Monaco's planned contribution to the anniversary programme is expected to follow as 2026 approaches, the year the US marks its quarter-millennium.
