More than 680 licensed student athletes across Monaco's schools were recognised at the annual UNSS prize-giving ceremony for the 2025-26 academic year.
The annual UNSS prize-giving for the 2025-26 school year brought together Monaco's student sporting community to mark a strong season for the Principality's district, which now counts 682 licensed participants - representing more than 23 per cent of all pupils enrolled across local schools.
Among the standout results of the season, three institutions qualified for the national UNSS football championships in France: Lycée Albert Ier, Institution François d'Assise-Nicolas Barré, and Collège Charles III. The latter distinguished itself further by winning a medal at that level, a notable achievement for a Monaco school competing on the national stage.
The UNSS framework gives secondary school pupils structured access to competitive sport outside regular physical education, and the district's participation rate of nearly one in four students signals genuine grassroots engagement with the programme across the Principality's schools.
