Monaco rail closure 13–14 June: what you need to know

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Train services between Nice and Monaco are suspended 13, 14 June for engineering works; Monaco is introducing enhanced transport links to Monaco-Ville to manage disruption.

The entire rail section between Les Arcs-Draguignan and Monaco will be out of service on Saturday 13 June and Sunday 14 June as SNCF Réseau carries out essential modernisation work on the Marseille-Vintimille coastal corridor. This two-day closure will affect residents and visitors travelling along the Côte d'Azur, particularly those with connections through Nice-Ville heading to Gare de Monaco-Monte-Carlo.

In response to the disruption and expected increase in visitor numbers over the weekend, Monaco is introducing enhanced transport arrangements to ensure smoother access to Monaco-Ville during the closure period. Replacement bus services are expected to operate, though journey times will be significantly longer than usual.

Travellers are advised to check SNCF schedules well ahead of time and allow extra time for journeys. Those relying on train connections should consider alternative transport options or rescheduling plans if possible.
