Monaco names trio for world chef and waiter final

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Three young hospitality professionals have been chosen to represent Monaco at the 2027 world final of the Young Chef Young Waiter and Young Mixologist competition.

A chef, a waiter and a mixologist have been selected to carry the Principality's colours at next year's world final of the Young Chef Young Waiter and Young Mixologist competition. The three were chosen from this year's Monaco heat, which forms part of a wider circuit testing young talent across the hospitality trades before finalists go head to head internationally.

For Monaco's restaurant and hotel scene, the result matters beyond bragging rights. The Principality's dining and service standards are closely tied to its reputation among residents and visitors alike, and competitions of this kind are one of the few public measures of how the next generation of kitchen and floor staff is developing in an industry that underpins much of the local economy.

The team will now prepare for the 2027 world final, where they will compete against finalists from other countries selected through similar national rounds. Monaco has fielded teams in previous editions, and a strong showing would add to the Principality's standing in an area where its hotels and restaurants already compete for international recognition.
