Folarin Balogun has been added to AS Monaco's UEFA squad list ahead of Thursday's Conference League match against Nordsjaelland at Louis II.
AS Monaco host FC Nordsjaelland at the Stade Louis-II on Thursday 5 November, kicking off at 9pm in the third matchday of the Europa Conference League group phase. For this fixture, Folarin Balogun will be available for selection after being added to the club's UEFA list, taking the place of the injured Ansu Fati.
Balogun had initially been left off Monaco's Conference League roster for the league phase, a decision that made sense at the time given reports the American international forward was expected to leave the club over the summer. With that departure not materialising and Fati now sidelined, the 24 year old gets his chance to feature in continental competition this season.
Monaco sit in the Conference League group phase as they look to build on their position following the opening two matchdays. A home win against the Danish side would strengthen their push towards the knockout rounds, with Louis-II crowds set to see Balogun in a Monaco shirt on the European stage for the first time this campaign.
