The Monaco government has introduced a four-part roadmap to strengthen sexual health education and screening, with young residents a key focus.
The Monaco government has published a new roadmap setting out measures to improve sexual health information and support across the Principality, structured around four areas of action.
The first priority targets young people, with a commitment to providing reliable, age-appropriate and accessible information to help them better understand the issues surrounding sexuality and sexual health. Officials say this reflects a broader public health push to reach residents earlier with accurate guidance rather than relying on informal or unverified sources.
The second focus area addresses prevention and screening for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, which the government has identified as a major public health concern in the Principality. Further details on the remaining two areas of the roadmap are expected as the initiative is rolled out.
