Monaco joins Holocaust Remembrance Alliance plenary

Monaco took part in the IHRA plenary session hosted by Argentina, focused on expanding Holocaust remembrance beyond Europe.
A Monaco delegation attended the plenary session of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, held under Argentina's presidency, the first South American country to lead the organisation. The session carried the theme "Expanding the frontiers of memory", reflecting the view that the lessons of the Holocaust cannot be confined to Europe's geographic borders but belong to humanity as a whole.
The gathering comes as the number of living Holocaust survivors continues to fall, adding urgency to efforts to preserve testimony and historical record before firsthand accounts are lost entirely. Delegates also addressed the backdrop of tensions linked to the conflict in the Middle East and what organisers described as a resurgence of antisemitism and other forms of intolerance.
Monaco's participation reflects the Principality's continued engagement with international bodies addressing historical memory and human rights, aligning with its broader diplomatic positioning on these issues.
