Monaco Cemetery partly closed for resurfacing works

Sections of the Cimetière de Monaco will be temporarily closed from Monday 3 August to Monday 10 August 2026 while the chapel forecourt is resurfaced.
The Mairie de Monaco has announced that resurfacing works to the chapel forecourt at the Cimetière de Monaco will require the partial closure of the cemetery from Monday 3 August to Monday 10 August 2026 inclusive. The existing surface covering has deteriorated significantly over time, and the municipality has decided to carry out full repairs.
Families and visitors planning to attend the cemetery during that week should expect restricted access to certain areas. The Mairie has not indicated which specific zones will be cordoned off, so anyone with a particular need to visit during the works period is advised to contact the municipal services in advance for guidance.
