Monaco Basket opened the 2026-27 LF2 season with an 89-41 win over Rouen-Bihorel in front of nearly 600 fans.
The Gaston-Médecin hall at Stade Louis-II hosted close to 600 spectators for Monaco Basket's first league fixture of the new LF2 campaign, and the home side made the occasion count with an 89-41 win over Rouen-Bihorel.
The match began cautiously, with both sides testing each other in the opening minutes, before Monaco found their rhythm. Five players reached double figures as the team moved into a fast, flowing style of play built on sharp passing and collective movement rather than individual scoring.
By the final whistle, the scoreline had swelled into a rout, with Monaco doubling their opponents' total. For a club looking to set the tone early in the LF2 season, the result on home court sends a clear signal to the rest of the division.
