Monaco accredits five new ambassadors in diplomatic ceremony

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Five ambassadors from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, San Marino, Egypt and Guinea-Bissau presented their credentials to Monaco this week.

The Principality has formally accredited five new ambassadors, widening its diplomatic network at a time when Monaco continues to position itself as a hub for international relations despite its small size. David Emmanuel Puig Buchel takes up the role of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary for the Dominican Republic, while Ana Maria Pesantes Salazar assumes the equivalent position for Ecuador.

Marta Fabbri has been accredited as San Marino's non-resident ambassador, a common arrangement for smaller states that maintain diplomatic ties with Monaco without a permanent mission in the Principality. Tarek Dahroug becomes Egypt's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and Henrique Adriano Da Silva takes on the same role representing Guinea-Bissau.

For residents and businesses with international dealings, these accreditations matter beyond ceremony. Each new embassy relationship can open doors for trade discussions, cultural exchange and consular support for nationals living or working in Monaco, reinforcing the Principality's standing on the diplomatic stage relative to its size.
