Mobee, Monaco's electric car-sharing scheme operated by SMEG, is expanding its fleet with 20 new Fiat Topolino vehicles arriving this summer. The addition joins the existing 20 Renault Twizy models already operating across the Principality, whilst a simplified pricing structure aims to make the service more accessible to both residents and regular visitors.
Launched in 2014, Mobee represents a strategic response to Monaco's ongoing challenge with parking and road space. By growing the available fleet and streamlining how customers pay, SMEG is making it easier for residents to consider car-sharing as a genuine alternative to private vehicle ownership.
The expansion aligns with the Principality's broader sustainability goals, reducing private car dependency whilst maintaining convenient mobility. With SMEG's infrastructure backing, Mobee has the reach and resources that purely private operators would struggle to achieve in Monaco's constrained geography.
