The Hollywood veteran receives a Crystal Nymph for his career at the closing ceremony of the 65th Monte-Carlo Television Festival on 16 June 2026.
Kurt Russell, 75, was awarded a Crystal Nymph for lifetime achievement at the close of the 65th Monte-Carlo Television Festival on Tuesday, 16 June 2026. The honorary prize, one of the festival's most coveted distinctions, recognised a screen career spanning more than six decades and including cult titles such as Stargate and Tango and Cash.
Russell is currently appearing in two successful series, The Madison and Monarch, which will have introduced him to a new generation of television audiences well before his arrival on the Grimaldi Forum stage to collect the award. His presence gave this year's festival a particularly high-profile closing night.
Now in its 65th year, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival remains one of the few international television events held under royal patronage, drawing major names from the global industry to the Principality each June. This year's edition ran across the week leading up to the 16 June ceremony.
