Over 120 executives attended a Monaco Economic Board conference on the Principality's reformed company law and its effect on management.
The Monaco Economic Board held its annual conference at the Novotel Monte-Carlo on Monday, 28 September, bringing together more than 120 business executives to examine the Principality's newly reformed company law. The event, titled "Reform of company law in Monaco: what impact on management?", was run in partnership with the Ordre des Experts-Comptables de Monaco and law firm 99 Avocats.
The reform touches the legal framework governing how companies in Monaco are structured and managed, a matter of direct concern to the business community given the Principality's reliance on company formation and corporate services as part of its economy. For executives and legal practitioners, understanding the practical implications of the changes, particularly around management obligations and liability, is essential to staying compliant.
The turnout of over 120 attendees signals strong demand among Monaco's business community for clarity on the reform. With accountants and lawyers presenting alongside MEB, the session offered a practical rather than purely theoretical breakdown of what the new rules mean for day to day company management in the Principality.
