Louis II Stadium Seats Find New Homes Across the Côte d'Azur

Some 4,100 yellow seats removed during the Louis II Stadium renovation are being redistributed free of charge to nearby towns through Green Monaco.
The ongoing renovation of Stade Louis II is generating more than just a facelift for AS Monaco's home ground. Through a scheme coordinated by Green Monaco, 4,100 of the stadium's distinctive yellow seats have been collected by the municipalities of Menton, La Trinité, Drap and San Remo rather than sent to landfill, giving the removed seating a practical second life across the region.
The redistribution began several months into the renovation works and was offered to recipient towns at no cost. Further batches of seats are expected to become available as the refurbishment progresses, meaning additional towns could yet benefit from the initiative.
For Monaco residents and football supporters, the scheme is a tangible sign that the principality's sustainability commitments extend beyond its own borders. Green Monaco's involvement ensures the process is organised rather than ad hoc, and the cross-border reach into Liguria underlines the regional goodwill that a project of this scale can generate.
