Leclerc takes second in Austin, closes in on podium streak

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

Charles Leclerc fought from fourth on the grid to finish second at the United States Grand Prix, his second consecutive runner-up result.

Charles Leclerc added another strong result to his season on Sunday, finishing second at the United States Grand Prix in Austin after starting fourth on the grid. The Monegasque driver spent much of the race locked in battles with Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at the Circuit of the Americas, working his Ferrari through traffic to hold station behind the race leader at the chequered flag.

It marks Leclerc's second consecutive runner-up finish, a result that will be welcomed in Monaco where he remains the Principality's most prominent sporting figure and a regular presence at the Monaco Grand Prix each May. The result keeps Ferrari firmly in the championship conversation even as Andrea Kimi Antonelli tightens his grip on the drivers' standings.

For Monaco residents who follow Leclerc's progress closely, back-to-back podiums in Texas suggest the Scuderia has found genuine pace heading into the final races of the season. Attention now turns to whether he can convert that momentum into a win before the championship picture is settled.
