Edan Diop came on for Denis Zakaria at half-time and scored as AS Monaco drew 1-1 with Lille at the Stade Louis II.
AS Monaco were held to a 1-1 draw by Lille on Sunday at the Stade Louis II, with substitute Edan Diop once again proving decisive after coming off the bench.
Diop started the match on the bench but replaced Denis Zakaria at half-time and immediately changed the tempo of Monaco's play. His influence told directly on the scoreboard, as he got on the scoresheet to help the Red and Whites salvage a point against the Nordistes.
Zakaria, by contrast, struggled to make an impression during his time on the pitch before being withdrawn at the break, a decision that proved pivotal to the afternoon's outcome. The result leaves Monaco still searching for consistency as they continue their Ligue 1 campaign.
