Aleksandr Golovin says he feels fit and ready for a complete campaign as AS Monaco prepare to face Paris FC on Sunday.
Aleksandr Golovin has told reporters this week that he feels in good physical shape as AS Monaco head to Paris FC this Sunday. The Russian midfielder, who joined the club from CSKA Moscow in 2018, has often struggled for consistency across his seven seasons at the Stade Louis II, with injuries and patchy form limiting his impact in several campaigns.
This season appears different. Golovin has looked more involved in training and in recent matches, with staff around the squad noting he is capable of assuming a central role and playing a full 90 minutes when needed. For a club chasing a strong league position, having a fit and sharp Golovin in midfield adds depth and creativity that Monaco have missed in previous years.
Sunday's trip to Paris FC comes at a point in the season where consistency from senior players matters more than individual moments of quality. If Golovin can maintain this form, it would mark a shift from the stop-start pattern that has defined much of his time in the Principality.
