By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

A German teenager was hospitalised after falling several storeys on Avenue Princesse-Grace in the early hours of Sunday.

Emergency services were called to Avenue Princesse-Grace at around 4am on Sunday after a young German man fell several storeys near Twiga Monte Carlo, the beach club and restaurant that draws a late-night crowd along the seafront. Firefighters from the Compagnie des Sapeurs-Pompiers attended the scene and gave initial treatment before the teenager was transferred to Nice University Hospital for further care.

The stretch of Avenue Princesse-Grace near Twiga sits among some of the Principality's most sought-after waterfront addresses, and incidents here draw quick attention from residents and building security alike. No further details on the circumstances of the fall or the teenager's condition have been released.
