French Embassy renews language deal with Monaco school

By Zak Jackson, MonacoViews Editorial

The French Embassy and the International School of Monaco have renewed an agreement giving students access to an internationally recognised French qualification.

French Ambassador Christophe Lemoine and International School of Monaco director Stuart Bryan signed a renewed partnership agreement on Tuesday, October 20, extending the school's ability to offer students a formally recognised French language qualification.

The arrangement means ISM pupils, and other learners taking part through the school, can work towards an internationally recognised certification in French without leaving the Principality. For families weighing up schooling options in Monaco, where English-medium international education sits alongside the Lycée and other French-curriculum schools, the renewal keeps a formal French-language pathway open at ISM specifically.

The agreement builds on an existing relationship between the Embassy and the school rather than introducing a new scheme, but its renewal confirms continued backing from French diplomatic authorities for language provision at one of Monaco's main international schools.
