Frémont and Vaude bring stage two-hander to Monaco

Actors Thierry Frémont and Nicolas Vaude perform 'Une heure à t'attendre' in Monaco on 11 October, a day after its Cannes opening.
Thierry Frémont and Nicolas Vaude take the stage together this week in 'Une heure à t'attendre', a two-hander built around two men confronting each other over a woman neither can reach. The play opens in Cannes on 10 October before arriving in Monaco the following evening, 11 October.
Frémont has been keen to push back against comparisons to a straightforward rivalry drama, insisting the piece avoids turning into what he calls a 'combat de coqs'. Instead, the tension between the two characters plays out through absence rather than direct confrontation, with the woman they both love never appearing on stage.
For theatre-goers in the Principality, it is a rare chance to catch two established French stage and screen actors sharing a single set, with the production moving straight from its Cannes premiere into a Monaco date within 24 hours.
