Free photo exhibition opens at Galerie des Pêcheurs until 28 June

By Laurent Duval, MonacoViews Editorial

A new photographic exhibition offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Musée d'Anthropologie Préhistorique, open free of charge around the clock until 28 June.

The Galerie des Pêcheurs is currently hosting "Fouilles", a photographic exhibition by Stéphane Gamelin that takes visitors inside the working life of the Musée d'Anthropologie Préhistorique de Monaco, the institution founded by Prince Albert I. The show draws on Gamelin's access to the museum's researchers and collections, presenting archaeological fieldwork and behind-the-scenes moments rarely seen by the public.

Elena Rossoni-Notter, Director of the museum and a qualified archaeologist and Doctor of Prehistory, presented the exhibition alongside her team at a press breakfast earlier this week. The display is free to enter and accessible 24 hours a day until 28 June, making it one of the more accessible cultural offerings on the Rock this season.
